2015 tours June and September - some places still left!

June 1-8 in Provence East set in a charming guest house right in the heart of an authentic medieval village. Visits include the local markets in the fishing village of Sanary, a boat trip to see the stunning calanques of the south coast, local rose wine tasting and the Provence lavender fields
June 8-15 Dordogne in a converted farmhouse with delightful swimming pool for those warm summer evenings. Excursions include Europe's finest ancient caveman paintings, the peaceful river Dordogne, delightful villag restaurants, foie gras and local wines.
June 15-25 5 days on a secluded beach front hotel in Brittany with excursions to quiet artists villages, ancient menhirs, the stunning gulf of Morbihan and more
followed by 5 days in Normandy staying in a chateau near Bayeux, Mont St Michel, the Bayeux tapestry and war museum and the landing beaches of Normandy

Aug 31 - Sept 7 a week in the north and west of Italy - Italian lakes and riviera
Sept 7-14 staying near St Tropez and visiting some of the best that Provence and the French Riviera has to offer - perched medieval villages, the biggest gorge in Europe, the island of Porqueroles and around St Tropez
Sept 14-21 near the beautiful Pyrenees in Languedoc-Roussillon, local wines, beautiful villages, Cathar castles, a taste of Spain
Sept 22-29 the Loire valley and its chateaux, wines, troglodyte caves, a mix of art, architecture, science and beautiful gardens. Visit to Leonardo da Vinci's chateau included.

Tours in June 2015

Itineraries for the June 2015 tours are now available on the website on the 'TOURS' page click here. Only 8 people on each tour, so book early to make sure your place is secure. These week-long tours of Provence and the Dordogne (Dordogne river pictured below) are our most popular, and the 10 days in Brittany and Normandy are fabulous in June.

Languedoc-Roussillon tour - 2-9 September 2013

This is the Abbaye Saint Martin de Canigou, situated at the end of an hour's (not difficult) walk up the Canigou mountain. Delightful spot within a half hour drive from Prades, where we stayed during this tour. Photo kindly provided by Ray who joined the tour. The weather was fabulous all the week, with just a little rain on the day we went across the border to Spain to see the home and art gallery of Salvadore Dali. This interesting tour will be repeated in 2014. If you like quiet places, quaint villages with a Spanish influence, stunning views, delightful food and wine, then think about this area for your 2014 holiday in France.
